Intro
Harijs Svarcs is a Founding Partner at SG Capital Partners AIFP (www.sgcapital.lv), a sustainability-focused investment manager specializing in real assets and growth capital across Latvia and the Baltics. Previously, Harijs served as Chairman of the Board and CEO at Swedbank Investment Management Company in Latvia, where he led the company’s business operations and strategic initiatives. Before that, he managed the official foreign exchange reserves (fixed income investments) at the Central Bank of Latvia and held positions as an economist and financial analyst in the Market Operations and Monetary Policy Departments. Harijs has been instrumental in driving capital market development in Latvia and the Baltics, collaborating with industry associations and regulatory authorities. He has also shared his expertise through lectures and seminars on finance and economics for professional and academic audiences. He holds an MSc (with distinction) in Finance and Economics from Bayes Business School, City University of London, and an MSc in Economics from the University of Latvia. Additionally, Harijs has successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
